Waking up this earlier (7:30) is a nuisance, every bit the burden I predicted. 10AM classes and later thank you very much. After giving up on my piles of textbooks/readers/novels/books/novellas (yes, supposedly there is a difference), I went to bed for about 4 hours after 3 hours the previous night, which of course was not from a particularly productive evening. I'm better off than some though, and there are others who may thank themselves for their insomniac-inducing predicaments. I enjoyed a nap today, for the first time this school year. If my roommate, Grace, hadn't accidentally turned on the lights when she walked in, I would've slept through one of my classes. By the way, in Acting we get to see Doubt on stage on Weds. However, it's in downtown San Diego. I can't drive, and I know none of my friends with cars would be that excited to see this allegedly amazing performance. I'd also like to point out this is the third time class has met, therefore creating an obscenely awkward moment. I also completely BSed a French quiz because I napped instead of studying. Only one of my answers was incorrect, I think, it was "to dream" too ironically. After swiping much-needed CA burritos for Steven and myself, we (w/ Khanh, Val, and Jessica) went to Costco. It was really only suppose to be Khanh but Steven was kind enough to let all of us come along. I wanted to get a million things, but as you can tell from my previous entry, I'm now short on cash.
So why the new blog, you may ponder if you were one of the three readers of my former ones? WELL, haha. It felt like I needed to let go of my old one because even though I didn't intend for this to happen, college became a new start. I also need to practice writing or else all those pretty grades I've grown to love will slip away from me in a dramatic movie moment with footprints stomping on fallen autumn leaves in the rain as Callas's O Mio Babbino crescendos (Caballe is 3506935863 times better vocally, but Callas is a true artist and her version is tragic and beautiful).
One of these days I'm going to write an entry in French because I definitely need practice for that.
Thank you for peaking at my insanity.
